Even though she was eliminated in the final stage of the contest but she was back for the Amateurs Redemption episode the following year, but she was not able to win. 13 years ago, Hostin was a part of a TEDx Talk titled "A Possibility Model" that discussed the impact of trauma in the early years. 14 Hostin was hired by ABC News in March 2016 as a Senior Legal Correspondent. In September 2016 Hostin was named The View's permanent co-host. The 20th season of the show began in September of 2016. 16 Hostin was in the comedy film Girls Trip as herself in 2017.
