Kolber was born in Pennsylvania graduated with a master's degree at University of Miami. Her career in the field began when she was the Video Coordinator at CBS Sports, New York City. She was awarded a Sports Emmy while working for WTVJ-TV Miami. Also, she worked for WPLG-TV Miami and WPEC-TV West Palm Beach in Florida. She was hired by ESPN in 1993, and was one of the anchors of ESPN2 when it was first created. Her time at ESPN2 was for three years. After that, she joined Fox Sports. In 1999 she was hired by ESPN to present "Monday Night Countdown.
